Children are the responsibility of their parents or guardians and must be supervised at all times.
Old MacDonald's Farm welcomes visitors with any access needs together with their helpers or carers. We actively seek to promote and provide equal opportunity for all who visit us. We actively encourage everyone to fully enjoy the range of facilities and entertainment available. We have made every effort to ensure that the Farm is fully accessible for all and welcome constructive advice as to how we can improve our infrastructure, attractions and services. We recognise that there are many and varied specific needs and requirements and our staff are experienced in giving assistance to all. Some of the provisions we offer are listed below and for other particular needs, such as learning difficulties, partially sighted or hearing and others our staff will gladly offer advice and support. Our entry fees demonstrate our commitment to offer access for all.
Members of the British Association of Leisure Parks, Piers and Attractions (BALPPA) such as Old MacDonald's Farm welcome visits by people with access needs and will do all that is possible to ensure a safe and pleasurable visit. However, some of our rides and attractions can be physically demanding & vigorous and we therefore reserve the right to refuse access to certain rides and attractions should we feel there is a danger to a particular individual or individuals to ensure the well-being of all of our customers. The Health and Safety Executive advise that refusal to allow access under these health and safety conditions is necessary and therefore it is not deemed as nor does not constitute discrimination.
We hope that you understand and accept any such decisions are only made in the interest of the health and safety of our customers. Should you have any questions about this at the time of your visit please ask to see the Duty Manager or feel free to contact us in advance of coming to Old MacDonald's Farm to discuss this matter.
We provide parking spaces at the entrance of the farm. These are only available to 'Blue Badge' holders.
Our cafeterias and refreshment areas offer excellent wheelchair access.
In the interest of their comfort and well-being, visitors with access needs are required to have at least one helper over the age of 18 accompany them onto the rides.
Helpers accompanying guests with access needs onto the rides may be required to sit in the same carriage as the visitor they are assisting.
Helpers must be able to assist the visitor with gaining access to and leaving the rides (including transfer from wheelchairs).
Our staff will give full instructions and advice, but for everyone's safety, we will leave all lifting to the Helpers who will be practiced in this.
We welcome feedback on our accessibility. We continuously strive to improve the Farm & are always mindful of our visitors health, safety and satisfaction. Should you have any feedback, questions or recommendations then we would like to hear from you. Call us on 01277 375177 or email dave@omdfarm.co.uk.
